Project Description
In 2018, W4 Construction Group was awarded a 5 year/$150 Million Single Acquisition of Base Engineer Requirement (SABER) at Hill Air Force Base and we have been executing task orders for facilities maintenance and for new construction projects since that time. Hill Air Force Base is the Air Force’s second largest base by population and geographical size, and is home to many operational and support missions. To support needs of Air Force, W4 Construction Group has completed more than 50 projects, of varying scope and complexity, to repair and modernize facilities on base where the Airmen train and work. Confident in W4 Construction Group’s ability to deliver quality project outcomes that are within budget and completed on time, the Contracting team at Hill Air Force Base awarded W4 Construction Group with a $1.8 Million project to install all new Direct Digital Controls (DDC) and HVAC systems at Building 237, which is a secure facility. We also replaced the ceiling, ceiling grid, lighting, blinds, window film, carpet and refurbished 40 doors. On the final CPAR evaluation, the Assessing Contracting Official stated, “W4’s superintendent along with their management team worked and performed effectively with the building users and the government project manager to meet the needs of the contract. This is a project that W4 and the government should be proud of.” We are proud of this team, the long term relationships that they’ve built collaborating on improvement projects and their dedication to deliver exceptional project outcomes for the Airmen working on base.
